Strategies / Australian Small Co. Trust
Inception Date APIR Code
October 3, 2000 --
The objective of the Australian Small Company Trust is to provide long-term capital growth by gaining exposure to a diversified portfolio of small companies listed in Australia. The Trust is designed to be a component of an Australian equity portfolio.

Small companies are defined as those companies smaller than the 100th company in the S&P/ASX 200 Index with a market capitalisation greater than $50 million.

Investments in eligible companies will generally be in proportion to their market capitalisation. However, to manage turnover and taxation considerations the Trust may not exactly match specific company weights. A hold or buffer range for sales minimises transaction costs and keeps portfolio turnover low. Issues that migrate above the hold range are sold and proceeds reinvested in the buy range.
