Allen Pu brings an entrepreneurial background to his role as a portfolio manager on the international equity team in the US. Allen joined Dimensional from the California Institute of Technology, where he received ten US patents from separate stints as a staff researcher and product manager for a gaming startup company based on technologies developed at the university. In between, he spent four years making private equity investments as a vice president for Mellon Ventures, an affiliate of Mellon Financial.

Allen earned an MBA in finance and entrepreneurial studies from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds an MS and a PhD in electrical engineering from Caltech and a BS in electrical engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. In addition, Allen is a CFA Charterholder.
