Glenn S. Freed is a former professor and dean, and a leading tax authority in the academic community. He is responsible for advising Dimensional on tax strategies, which encompass both tax-managed mutual funds and separate accounts. Glenn is a key contact for clients of separate account strategies.
Prior to joining Dimensional, Glenn was associate dean of the Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. He was simultaneously the academic director of the school's Master of Business Taxation program. Before coming to USC, he was an accounting professor in the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles, and has served for ten years as a visiting lecturer in accounting at the California Institute of Technology.
Glenn is a member of the steering committee for the AICPA Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference. He also is a member of the Deanā¬"s Business Advisory Council for the University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration. Glenn has co-authored numerous articles and has presented in various national and international forums. He received his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at USC and holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Florida. Glenn is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida.
