Karen is a senior portfolio manager and a member of the Investment Committee and the Investment Policy Committee at Dimensional. She oversees the team that manages international portfolios for US-based clients. Her responsibilities include portfolio structure for developed and emerging markets strategies, currency trading, and coordination of information flow among the Sydney, London, and Santa Monica offices. She frequently speaks at final presentations to prospective clients, client reviews, consultant meetings, and industry conferences in the US.
Karen joined Dimensional in 1993 as a general portfolio manager in US equities after beginning her investment career with the Yale University Investment Office. Karen graduated from Yale with a B.A. in economics in 1988, and from the University of California, Los Angeles with an MBA in 1993. She received her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991.
